Clubs and teams with multiple teams that end up playing each other will require a change of socks this season to assit the umpires.

13. EQUIPMENT i. All Players are encouraged to wear a mouth guard and shin pads during play. ii. It is strongly encouraged that Goal Keepers in 1/2s and 3/4s wear protective gear. It is compulsory for Goal Keepers in 1/2s and 3/4s to wear a helmet. iii. It is compulsory for the Goal Keeper to wear full protective gear in 5/6s, 7/8s, 9/10s & 11/12s. iv. Goal Keeper equipment for Senior teams is to be in accordance with the FIH Indoor Hockey Rules. v. Players in 1/2s, 3/4s and 5/6s that are defending a penalty corner are strongly encouraged to use head or face protection. If Players in these divisions play in the Arena, then it is compulsory to use head or face protection when defending a penalty corner. vi. It is compulsory for Players in 7/8s, 9/10s & 11/12s and all Senior teams that are defending a penalty corner to use head or face protection. vii.The engaged Umpire will require any defender not wearing compulsory head or face protection to go behind the back-line - must be beyond the point of the top of the circle at the other end of the pitch i.e. within 9.1 metres of the back line at the far end of the pitch.
